Fifteen minutes before baking, place rack in center of oven and heat to 350 degrees. Have a 1 quart baking dish ready. Mix all ingredients except the crackers in a food processor or blender until smooth. Transfer to the baking dish. Recipe can be prepared a day in advance up to this point by covering tightly and refrigerating. Bring to room temperature before baking. Bake until hot, about 30 minutes.
